How is health coaching different from a diet program?

Diet programs usually give you rules to follow, and those rules may or may not be applicable to your body and goals. Health coaching focuses on behavior change, helping you make informed decisions about your body and developing habits that are actually sustainable.

Does Shed follow a specific method or framework?

Our certified Health Coaches use traditional coaching skills rooted in motivational interviewing, cognitive behavioral therapy, and positive psychology in conjunction with our evidence-based progressive coaching curriculum to help you adapt your lifestyle and habits. You will be guided through the program with personalized adjustments wherever needed.

Do I need a health coach if I’m already taking a GLP-1?

Coaching complements GLP-1 treatment by helping you manage side effects, choose nutrient-dense foods, and build habits that will support you both during and after GLP-1 treatment.

Is health coaching only helpful if I’m trying to lose weight?

Nope! Coaching can also help with energy, fitness, sleep, emotional eating, and general well-being. Many continue coaching even after reaching their weight goal.
